THE SMALLEST WOMAN ON EARTH

This is a story of man, who has an obsession for smaller and smaller women, a story of his search to find the smallest one that ever existed.

This is a story of the smallest woman on earth, of other perspectives of being and of irrevoceble decisions.

This is a cruel story of unusual love. This is a story you have never seen before.

THE SMALLEST WOMAN ON EARTH is a happily morbid performance trying to touch the imagination of the audience and their belief in illusions with the use of puppets, metamorphoses and other surprises.

THE SMALLEST WOMAN ON EARTH was a dream for a long time, while the idea kept growing over almost five years, the woman got smaller. It first started in the streets of Copenhagen, where a model of the smallest woman on earth was displayed.

During this time there was also a longing to use puppets as really an illusion of something small alive, not only as „playing puppet-theatre“ but something that could also inspire the audience and poke their imaginations.

We also found an interesting sentence in a old book „Life was so striking and colourful, that it accepted the smell of blood and odour of roses at the same time“ and we were exploring whether something similar is possible in theatre, if it is possible to create a performance at the same time funny and cruel, beautiful but rough. To move the audience to tears and laughter alike.
